"Like the best game of Risktm I
ever played with the bonus of politial intrigue and in-game karmic consequences
for nasty behaviour."

This game is SWEET. The political aspect of the game is unparalleled. The military
is simple but fun. I hear the designers are coming out with an advance rule set
which enhances the military aspects. The cards are well thought out, with cards
like assassination, seduction, scapegoat, and twist of fate it make the game interesting
and a lot of fun to play.

"Sometimes good things arrive unexpectedly from out of the void.
We were recently contacted by Golden Laurel Entertainment about their first game
to hit the presses in January, "Galactic Destiny". As we poked around their
website we found that their 'Destiny could be a title that we've been thirsting-over
for years. In fact, many of the elements in Galactic Destiny have been shot around
our very own game table over a few beers after game night."

This is the best space conquest game I've seen. It's long, but very tasty. (

More flavour than Grandma's cooking (

For me, this is a 5 star game.

This is a great game. The diplomacy and backstabbing between players / parties combines
fluently with the game mechanisms and the theme. The components are very nice which
benefits the theme strength. The game takes a long time to play, but what else would
you expect (and want!) in a galactic empire building game. Everything seems to be
well thought out and tested and all aspects of the game seem to work very well together.
The advanced rules are a further bonus in my opinion (bring on the complexity; bring
on the chrome!)
The designers told me that they designed their game with everything they liked in
board games in the back of their head. The intention was to design their favorite
game. I expect it may very well become one of my favorites as well. I can hardly
wait till it is published (January 2007).

"After playing Galactic Destiny I can whole heartedly recomend it to anyone
who enjoys deep, engaging stragety games, political intrigue, military wrangling
and open ended gaming of any sort. Every action taken has it's consequences, though
one never feels curtailed by the rules. One of the few games I've ever played that
allows the players to change the rules mid-game, the only wargame I've every played
where it is possible to win without firing a single shot, and one of the few boardgames
in recent times to actively require the player to converse with everyone else in
regards to in-game events. An excellent and intellectual game, the comercial release
of which I look forward to getting my hands on soon!"

"In fifteen years of managing Imperial Hobbies I have been contracted to consult
and playtest many games. Generally these experiences are exercises in futility;
happily the crew of Golden Laurel have proven not to be the rule. Galactic Destiny
puts forth a cogent, and concise set of rules, that coupled with a rich and original
setting provides an interesting and challenging gaming experience for all. It is
my opinion that not only will Galactic Destiny be a constant seller in the industry
GLE will also become a recognized brand."

"Strategic sci-fi mix of 'the settlers' and 'Axis and Allies', with political elements."
-- Fabien Stahl, RatCon 2006, Dortmund, Germany
"Backstabbingly good."
-- Keith McNamera, Ireland
"One of the few great games that makes you want to be a) a politically driven megalomaniac,
b) totally insane and generally chaotic and c) just down right evil... but in a
strangely liberating way."
