Galactic Destiny
Galactic Destiny is a board game of strategy, intrigue, and politics. It is designed to be played with three to six players for the ages of 12+. The game consists of strategic decisions and player to player interaction to form an exciting entertainment experience of galactic politics, warfare, and intrigue. Do you have what it takes to rule the galaxy? Will you be tyrant or saint? Dictator or bureaucrat?
As a player of Galactic Destiny you become the ‘guiding spirit’ of one of the six great political parties. Your goal is to preserve the Republic from those that would destroy it, such as the rebels or the demonic Ke’Ras, while gaining ultimate control of the government. The other five, however, will be working towards the same goal. Galactic Destiny gives unprecedented freedom to the players allowing you to create deals, alliances, and laws that fundamentally change the way the game is played; all within the rules of the game. The Senate phase allows players to propose anything they wish as they negotiate and move through the twisting halls of strategy and diplomacy. If, however, the machinations of the political machine are too convoluted or frustrating any player can declare rebellion against the Republic – now you are the enemy fighting from the outside to topple the whole.
The game is played using easy and clear rules that act as guidelines to facilitate play rather than strictures on your choices. Anything is possible and you must choose which path your party will take. Will your party be the champion of the people, fighting for social justice and equality, or will it be the advocates for fascist dictatorship and the cold and clinical operations of the government? Will you be a paragon of virtue and avoid the temptations of corruption and crime or will you wallow in the benefits of crime and infamy? You can do all of these and more!
